Concentration Bubble
This
one comes from Mrs. Yurko, who got the idea from Mr. Suzuki. It
is great fun and prepares children to perform in front of people.
Draw a pretend bubble around
the child. The child must then concentrate totally on the piece.
The objective is to play the piece from start to finish without
letting Mom break the concentration.
When the piece begins, Mom is
free to talk, tie shoes, comb hair, clap hands (even in front of the
child's face), tickle a neck or whatever she can come up with.
It can really become a challenge to play and lots of fun.
